Opening Ceremony has become known as one of Fashion's most "Fun" brands. Founded in 2002 by two friends from UC Berkeley, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Opening Ceremony takes its name and mission from the Olympic Games, and adopts a multinational approach to retail. In addition to stocking both iconic and emerging homegrown designers, every year OC showcases the spirit and merchandise of a visiting country, transforming each store into a marketplace for exotic souvenirs and international talent. They were the ones who discovered the omnipresent Havaianas flip flops in a Brazilian grocery store, for example- whether or not you know it, they've probably influenced your vacation gear in some form or fashion.
This year, Opening Ceremony celebrated it's Californian roots, and Carol and Humberto lived their absolute best lives by previewing their latest collection at Disneyland.
But what would really be in their suitcase? I just envision "Disney-park-wear" as Oakley sunglasses, fanny packs, and a giant coke.
