Voyage D’etudes is a platform to inspire and educate female travelers, doers, and thinkers. This is OUR time. This is OUR world. We have come so far, now let’s go everywhere else.
I spent most of my 20s living out of a half-unpacked suitcase. My jet-set journey from small town Essex, was touch-and-go at times but also exceptionally lucky.
Like when a freak snowstorm in Paris ended in me getting my first big job at a Fashion magazine. Or aged 22 when I went alone to India to vacation with with a girl I’d met once, and her Maharaja godfather “spontaneously” threw a casual party on my birthday with a river filled with floating candles.
There were darker moments, too of course. But mostly there were friends. Lots and lots of new friends.
This “global girl gang” is the basis for Voyage D’etudes, a place conceived to share the wealth of support and knowledge I was given by my network of female friends. I want all women to experience the soft landings I’ve been lucky enough to have along the way in my travels –– the gift of a local expert, a sister of sorts, to share what it’s really like to buy Tampons Istanbul, or the tip-off to a safe place to eat alone in Paris at night. The world is bigger when we’re united. And I believe our stories are what bring us together.
Voyage D’etudes is a place to celebrate travel that is less about tuning out, and more about tuning in together.
